I just had the feeling that SR focused too much on the progression side of things and forgot to bring the small good things from earlier games. ST and MR are more honest mud simulation games. Do stuff to get more levels and equipment etc.
And yes, spare wheel is always good to bring along, so you can do a quick (and small) repair in the field without having to bring a dedicated. Or you can use the log carrier with crane instead, which requires the crane support attached first. I'm not a fan of the progression based gameplay SR and so many other games have. To use the long log trailer you need the log carrier attached first. Bad gear box, mud physics sucked compared to previous games, then again I didn't get to the point to get better tires. Which makes it especially useful during the earlier stages of the game.

I've played snowrunner a couple of hours but it didn't convince me. Here are some of the best custom truck mods you can get. Not that weird jumping to 1st gear like in SR and MR.īoth ST and MR have awesome mods available. Then again gearbox auto transmission works better in ST. Camera sucks tho if you are a controller player like me. Well, in this game short log load bear 3 points, towing one long log load seems redundant. D's had all lumber attachments but now they're limited to 2 short log carriages (log carriage and log cart). ī-131 is cheap (2 star) and fuel efficient, but you won't get anywhere fast.ĭ and E class 8wheelers are expensive (4 star), rigid to steer and consume fuel a lot.

I didn't drive "KamAZ" series (C-4310, C-65111, C-65115) much, but can certainly say that latter can reach up to ingame ~50 kmh and is fastest truck in game while having 9-speed gearbox, flat tires and no offroad abilities. "Ural" series (C-375, C-4320xx) are on the whole faster but relatively thin wheels doesn't provide traction for such loads, except may be C-432010, which comparable with C-2xx series, but tweaked for speed rather than for pulling. С-2ХХ series are powerful enough to carry long logs but consume fuel very fast (C-255 on 1+ has ~30 L/min, C-260 on 1+ has ~40 L/min). As expected they won't grip well in the mud and thus makes it much more challenging. for instance completing a map using the B-130 only or trucks like the C-256 with regular road tires on it. The reason to use those less capable truck is simply self-challenge. you can find yourself stuck in rather small puddles of mud with small logs with certain trucks (B-131) while others might go right through easily (C-375). Unless a truck mod conflicts with it, it's always a good idea to carry one because it doesn't seem to have an impact on truck performance. This brings up another question, though - what's the point of using anything besides the C255?
